The two actors "who still have personal unresolved issues," according to their own personal confession, have shown remarkable composure on the professional front, says a Bollywood producer to BT.

"Each of the United Forum Producers and Distributors meeting that these two Bollywood superstars have attended have once again highlighted that these two superstars have a crackling chemistry," says the producer, who attended the meeting to resolve the multiplex crisis at a film Studio, a week ago.

For example, when Shah Rukh turned up at 5.30 pm sharp, a puzzled Yash Chopra looked at him and said, "Arre, you're on the dot today," to which SRK said, "Oh I thought the meeting was at 4.30 pm, and I am an hour late."

Aamir gave a naughty wink because he had sent a SMS to SRK saying that the meeting was scheduled at 4.30 pm, knowing very well that SRK would turn up at least an hour late.

On another occasion, Aamir was losing his cool with the arguments being floated, but it was SRK who prevailed upon him to please not stage a walkout for the sake of the entire producer fraternity. "Don't get agitated," said a patient Shah Rukh to his 'professional buddy' Aamir, adding, "you have to learn to be more patient yaar."

The Bollywood producers are completely bowled over by the way these two actors have been complementing each other. He says, "There are days when SRK is more aggressive, then Aamir plays passive. But between them they have rallied around and got other actors professionally involved as well to find what may not be a quick-fix solution, but it will benefit the industry in the long run."

"It's a pity these two may never been seen on screen together," says the source. "In terms of habit, temperament and even in terms of patience, they are an ideal match." Guess the fact that they are so elusive in their personal equation with each other is what makes them even more attractive for the junta.

Kolkata-based Rs 190-crore Linc Pen and Plastics is set to renew its contract with Shah Rukh Khan as brand ambassador. Linc Pen, one of the branded players in the Rs 2,100 crore writing instrument industry, had signed up SRK for one year in December 2008. Linc is said to have already commissioned Mumbai-based creative agency, The Republic, to make a new set of television commercials with SRK, which is likely to be aired from November.
"The association with Shah Rukh Khan helped us increase brand awareness and tap new markets. 'Trade confidence' has also increased significantly. We, therefore, thought of leveraging the association and are renewing our contract with SRK," Deepak Jalan, managing director, Linc Pens and Plastics, told Financial Chronicle.
Linc Pen is known for low-priced ball and gel pens. However, following the brand's association with SRK, the company forayed into the Rs 40-50 price segment. Without divulging the contract value with SRK, Jalan said that to reach out to their core target group—youth and students — the company had decided to be an associate sponsor of this year's IIFA (film) awards ceremony to be held in Macau.

It's time to kiss and make up in Bollywood, according to reports Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan has patched up with the Bachchan bahu, Aishwarya Rai.

The buzz is that Shah Rukh and Ash became freinds at producer - director Karan Johar's birthday party recently. The two had not been on talking terms since Chalte Chalte days as SRK had picked Rani Mukherjee over Ash for his home production . Their relationship was further damaged when SRK was not invited to Ash-Abhi s wedding.

At Katrina's birthday bash last year it was SRK's comments on Ash that ended the SRK and Salman Khan friendship . The Bachchan family had cut all ties with SRK.

Apparently, Shah Rukh went ahead and said sorry to Ash, she was with her husband Abhishek Bachchan.

A guest at the pary has said that it was SRK who began the conversation and told Ash that he owes an apology to her because he had wronged her.

After this incident the Bachchans and Khans (SRK with his wife Gauri) danced and chatted the entire night.

Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan met again on Wednesday May 27 for another Producers Guild meeting at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The core members including filmmakers Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt, Yash Chopra, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Eros International's Sunil Lulla and Amit Khanna of BIG Pictures were present for the same.

Talking about a solution to the deadlock, Mukesh Bhatt said, "You will get good news in two days."

It was quite interesting to see SRK and Vidhu Vinod Chopra leave together from the meeting which began at 9 pm and went on for over three hours. The two had fought via the media regarding the hijack of Raju Hirani. While Chopra had alleged SRK of doing it, SRK had denied vehemently. But now it seems that the big war has brought these two back together.

Our source present at the meeting revealed, SRK was more involved this time and attentively listened to Amit Khanna who explained him the latest developments. Aamir was quieter. As soon as the meeting ended Aamir left before SRK. They avoided getting clicked together.

Karan Johar's birthday party on Monday night was a night of patch-ups. Especially for the Bachchan boy. Vivek Oberoi and he hugged each other, he exchanged hellos with Karisma Kapoor and chatted at length with SRK.

How things went bad

Says a source present at the party, "After Shah Rukh dropped Aishwarya unceremoniously from his home production Chalte Chalte, she never forgave or forgot that. Things between them got worse when SRK and Gauri were not invited to the AbhiAsh wedding.
 
But the final straw was reports of Shah Rukh having said unflattering things about Ash during a verbal war with Salman, last year.  While Salman maintained that SRK had made debasing comments about Ash, SRK swore that he had too much respect for women to demean them.

At the time, Shah Rukh had called the Bachchans' family friend Amar Singh and had explained to him that he hadn't said anything demeaning about the Bachchan bahu, but the damage was done. Battle lines were drawn.

Apology accepted

But on Monday night, when Karan brought them together, both sides decided to put aside their differences and make a fresh start. Says a source, "A few minutes into the conversation with Ash, SRK apologised to her." He said, 'I think I owe you an apology because in some way I have wronged you." Ash gracefully accepted the olive branch offered.

After that, Abhishek, Ash, Shah Rukh and Gauri stuck together dancing, chatting and laughing. As the party wound up, Gauri asked her usual group of friends back home to continue the party there. She also invited Ash and Abhishek to come along, and they all piled into one car and headed for Mannat.

Other couples like Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Kajaal Anand and Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia joined them later. The group partied at SRK's home till 6 am and left after having breakfast." Happy endings are so much fun.

My Name Is Khan stars to leave for the US
After completing their second schedule in Mumbai, the cast of My Name Is Khan will leave for San Francisco on June 1. Shah Rukh Khan, who plays the lead in the film, will be leaving a day later. Major scenes will be shot during the month-long schedule in the US. Ten-year-old Tanay Chheda, (young Jamal in Slumdog Millionaire), who is playing the young Shah Rukh, will not be accompanying the remaining cast and crew since he has already completed 80 per cent of his scenes. He will be shooting the remaining scenes in July-August once the team is back in Mumbai for the final schedule.

As for Shah Rukh's character, he is an autistic who gets arrested for 'suspicious behaviour' and is charged for being a suspected terrorist. Others in the cast include Kajol, Zarina Wahab, Jimmy Sheirgill and Sheetal Menon.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Susmita Sen and Fardeen Khan, Dulha Mil Gaya is complete. It is already in the post-production stage and the final schedule, comprising a qawwali sequence, is being shot at Mumbai's Mehboob Studios. The schedule was pending since a few months since Shah Rukh Khan's shoulder injury prevented him for indulging in heavy-duty dance numbers.

Speaking about the song, director Mudassar Aziz said, "The song has been sung by Amit Kumar and Monali Thakur. It has often been addressed as my tribute to Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Sushmita Sen. Though I cannot reveal much about the song or Shah Rukh's look for the same, it's a fiery number to watch out for." Talking about the film's progress, producer Viveck Vaswani said, "In any case we had already begun work on post -production in parallel so there hasn't been waste of time, resource or energy. The film's dubbing too is 50 per cent complete. Sushmita should be dubbing soon, though for Fardeen, I will hold on for a while till he starts feeling a little more composed after his father's demise. As for Shah Rukh, he is scheduled to dub for the movie this week."

When asked about the film's release date, Aziz said, "All producers have been thrown off-gear by the strike. I am not in a position to tell a confirmed release date since Shah Rukh Khan, Ahmed Khan and I want to make sure that the strike is primarily over before we plan the release." He added that if September 18 works out as a feasible date taking the above-mentioned factor into consideration, they will go ahead with it. Vaswani confirmed the date for the film's release which would translate into a four-day extended weekend as Eid falls on September 21, a Monday. Elaborating on the date, he offered, "Let me state on record that September 18 is the day when my film arrives. I can assure that it's going to be one big festival movie. Dulha Mil Gaya is about celebration and the release timelines for the movie should further aid its prospects."

As for the film's promotional campaign, Aziz maintains that though it will be a big campaign, they will avoid an in-your-face situation. Further, the focus will be on the fresh cast since Sushmita and Shah Rukh have worked together just once before while both of them have never been paired with Fardeen.

After much speculation over who will star as the anti-hero in Dhoom 3, rumor is that the Yash Raj Camp has finally zeroed in on Shah Rukh Khan. In the past, the likes of John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan have played the part of the villain in the previous two installments making this role, one of the most "coveted" roles in modern day Hindi cinema. Yash Raj, who is currently going through a dip in their films, are said to be going through a low phase, "Yash Raj Films have been going through a lull period as none of their on-the-floor movies or their completed ones are generating any curiosity from the buyers as well as the audiences. SRK has always been a quick-fix solution for the Chopra," claimed a source close to the camp to a leading publication.

According to sources, SRK has always been a "quick fix" to the Yash Raj camp. The last time the Chopra's needed Khan, he came out with
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. SRK was supposedly "approached" by the banner only last week and heard a "one-lined narration." The actor was floored and he agreed to be a part of the film.

The dates are unknown and neither is the director too since Sanjay Gadhvi, director of
Dhoom and Dhoom 2, has had a "fallout" with the Chopra's. Additionally, Khan is currently working on Karan Johar's My Name is Khan, followed by Farhan Akhtar's Don 2 and his home production Happy New Year to be directed by Farah Khan. SRK is supposedly unsure as to when he would fit Dhoom 3 into his already busy schedule.

Salman Khan probably feels it is high time he buries the hatchet between him and Shah Rukh Khan. I mean, half his family is on best of terms with SRK. Maybe, he figures, it's time he let bygones be bygones. What else could be the reason behind his decision to appear on one of SRK's shows.

If reports are to believed, then Salman will be appearing as a celebrity guest on a show which is being produced by SRK's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. The show will be hosted by SRK's good friend Farah Khan, who is also the co producer on the show. Called Tere Mere Beech Mein, the show will apparently feature Salman as the first guest. He hasn't shot for it as yet but is expected to do so sometime next month. Two episodes featuring John Abraham and Yuvraj Singh have already been canned. The show is expected to be aired on Star Plus from August onwards. So, is Salman going over to the enemy's side? Recently when Salman was asked if SRK would be invited as guest in the second season of his show, Dus Ka Dum, he chose to evade a direct answer and instead said that all would be invited. Well, maybe SRK may soon be seen making an appearance on Dus Ka Dum. All is possible in this topsy turvy world of showbiz, where there are no permanent friends or foes.

Shahrukh Khan Despite nursing a shoulder injury, Shahrukh Khan shot for producer and good friend Viveck Vaswani's film Dulha Mil Gaya , which had been stuck because SRK portions needed to be shot.

Viveck Vaswani is a happy man today. His much delayed film 'Dulha Mil Gaya' is completely shot and ready to go into post production. Over the period of last two years the film has been getting delayed for many reasons, but recently when SRK hurt his shoulder and underwent a surgery it looked the movie might take another six months to complete. But SRK, who plays a cameo in the film, has surprised everyone, the film's producer the most.

"The moment he thought he was ready, he came for the film's shoot. He could have rested, but he chose to finish the film first. I had always left it to him to decide when he wanted to shoot," Vaswani is quoted by a news agency.

Vaswani went on to add that SRK is a bundle of energy.

"With these three days of shooting, Shah Rukh has now completed his entire portion for the film. The man is a bundle of energy. He just breezed through his part and before we knew, we were done," the producer added.

In fact, SRK not just shot for a qawwali track but also a special promotional track which wasn't earlier planned.

"The qawwali track is going to be the major highlight of the film. It is eight-minutes long and features the entire principal cast of the film," Vaswani revealed.

Speaking about the second song Shah Rukh shot for, Vaswani said, "This would be a track for promotional purpose and would also appear in the end credit titles roll. This one is going to be a special number too and there's a lot in store for Shahrukh Khan fans."

The film's leading stars are Fardeen Khan and Sushmita Sen . Now, with the shooting complete, the film is set to release on September 18.

Every now and then, big names are being tossed around as being nearly signed for this role and now the latest rumour is that Shah Rukh Khan will feature in the role in this action thriller.

A source who claims to be in the know swears, "Yash Raj Films have been going through a lull period as none of their on-the-floor movies or their completed ones are generating any curiosity from the buyers as well as the audiences. SRK has always been a quick-fix solution for the Chopras.

When- ever their mega boat is rocked, good friend Adi Chopra calls on SRK and the actor steps in to bail out his dost." This last happened with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. 

Now an insider claims claim that SRK has been approached by the banner to play the main villain in  Dhoom 3, "Last week, SRK was called in for a tentative one-line narration; he was impressed and agreed to be part of the film."

Although one wonders when SRK will find the time to finish this film, which reportedly starts some time next year. SRK is very charged about his superhero flick and Don 2,  which he wants to finish in 2010, along with his home production Happy New Year, to be directed by Farah Khan, so where is the time to fit in Dhoom 3? It is also not clear who will direct D:3 as Sanjay Gadhvi has had a fallout with YRF."

Just sometime ago I had written about Mallika Sherawat and Gul Panag being on twitter, however those profiles are absolutely true and real, unlike many of the other parked handles used by hoax persons for different bollywood superstars.

Just came across a profile on twitter that is supposedly from Shahrukh Khan himself, however there is no real way to confirm this, the so called Shahrukh twitter profile can be followed at @shahrukh_khan.

Most of the tweets are vague, some are related to his work, however that kind of information can be easily obtained by a simple search on Google.

The surprising thing about the Shahrukh Khan profile is that, he seems to be following more people than those who follow him back, this is however a bit strange for other big celebrities on twitter, who are not known to follow back a whole lot of people.

Also Shahrukh's profile was created back in August 2008, however the first tweet was only on Jan 28th this year. I must say at that point twitter was not that awfully popular, leave alone a celebrity puller, so the big question mark of it being a fake account rises tremendously.

The profile in itself has been pretty vague, and only links to Shahrukh's company Red Chillies Entertainment with no profile info provided.

Another few things that make me more inclined towards the twitter account is that, there are no mentions whatsoever of Kolkata Knight Riders in any of the tweets, except for a link to a twitter account which may again be fake.

And the final nail in the coffin was this tweet.

Now why the hell would Shahrukh Khan himself want to know which CMS system to use, considering that he is not tech savvy, I certainly do not understand why he would be asking that question on twitter, I would certainly not raise my eyebrows if he would have asked which actress best suited him in the form of "Juhi or Kajol?"

What do you think? Is this profile for real or just another fake one? No matter what, I have not seen Shahrukh Khan have a online presence yet, no websites or profiles anywhere, which does make my inclination to it being a fake a little bit more.

Next up is Dulha Mil Gaya and though it is still a long wait Shah Rukh Khan will be back on the silver screen on September 18th. Producer Viveck Vaswani has confirmed that 100% of the filming is done, all that is left is the final dubbing. "So now let me state on record that 18th September is the day when my film arrives. I can assure that it's going to be one BIG festival movie. Dulha Mil Gaya is about celebration and the release timelines for the movie should further aid that," Vaswanit told Joginder Tuteja.

Despite still recovering from his shoulder surgery, Shah Rukh completed his work on
Dulha Mil Gaya, shooting for three days and three nights. Speaking to IANS Vaswani said, "The moment he thought he was ready, he came for the film's shoot. He could have rested, but he chose to finish the film first. With these three days of shooting, Shah Rukh has now completed his entire portion for the film. The man is a bundle of energy. He just breezed through his part and before we knew, we were done."

SRK shot for a song sequence, a qawalli that is an amazing eight minutes long, which Vaswani says is a highlight of the film. The entire cast including SRK, Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan as well as Tara Sharma, Johny Lever, Parikshat Sahni, Bina Kak, Howard Rosemeyer, Suchitra Pillai, debutante Isshita Sharma and Vaswani himself will be seen in the song.

The other sequence that was shot will be used as a promotional video and will be seen during the end credits. "This one is going to be a special number too and there's a lot in store for Shah Rukh Khan fans." What that treat will be we will all have to wait and watch and impatiently count down the days until September 18th and

And now, here�s the latest scoop --- the film might have Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in its cast too. �The film is dealing with complex emotions, which is not easy for everyone to portray and hence this cast that I am closing in on,� says Sharma, who adds that Buddham� will bring revolution into the society and it will be one of its kind. �Neither Indian nor world cinema has witnessed this kind of a film before,� informs Sharma, whose company, Filmzone is producing the movie that has an estimated budget of over Rs 50 crore.

Sharma adds that he has already met King Khan, but he hasn�t been able to narrate the script to him because of the actor�s busy schedule. But the narration will probably take place this Sunday. �The story is about four people and it can also be termed as an action and violent film,� he adds. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was slated to shoot just a qawaali for upcoming film "Dulha Mil Gaya", but he shot a special promotional track for the film as well. And he finished his portion within three days despite nursing a shoulder injury.

Producer Viveck Vaswani is all praise for Shah Rukh, who volunteered to shoot for the film even though his shoulder injury hadn't healed completely.

"The moment he thought he was ready, he came for the film's shoot. He could have rested, but he chose to finish the film first. I had always left it to him to decide when he wanted to shoot," Vaswani told IANS.

"With these three days of shooting, Shah Rukh has now completed his entire portion for the film. The man is a bundle of energy. He just breezed through his part and before we knew, we were done," he added.

"Dulha Mil Gaya", which is directed by Mudassar Aziz, stars Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan as the protagonists.

Vaswani is happy because the shooting of "Dulha Mil Gaya" is now done with.

"Now with the shoot of these two songs, 'Dulha Mil Gaya' is 100 percent complete," he said with a smile.

"The qawaali track is going to be the major highlight of the film. It is eight minutes long and features the entire principal cast of the film," the producer added.

Revealing more about the second number that Shah Rukh shot for, Vaswani said: "This would be a track for promotional purpose and would also appear in the end credit titles roll. This one is going to be a special number too and there's a lot in store for Shah Rukh Khan fans."

The filmmaker said Sushmita and Fardeen were also pillars of support throughout the film's making and readily agreed to report for the final shooting stint.

"Sushmita came in instantly while Fardeen, who was shooting in Goa, also promptly reported for the shoot," he said.

The film is set for release Sep 18, Vaswani added.

The movie also stars Tara Sharma, Johny Lever, Parikshat Sahni, Bina Kak, Howard Rosemeyer, Suchitra Pillai, debutante Isshita Sharma and Vaswani himself.

In fact, he cites his team's ouster from IPL 2 as a life lesson. He has no plans of giving gyaan like a guru; nevertheless, he did a good job when he pep-talked the audience at the Delhi chapter of the Young Presidents' Organisation here on Thursday.

Talking about the event, a source present at the function says, "YPO has members in almost 85 countries. Every year, they invite people from different walks of life to interact with the members. This year, it was Shah Rukh, since he's been very successful in his life and the members were all ears when he spoke on what success meant to him."

Talking on his favourite subject – success – SRK says, "Success is never final, just like failure is never fatal. Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared. Fear failure so much that you get the courage to succeed. Talking about how I became successful is a waste. Success comes by chance. My first few films failed. My IPL team failed in the first and second seasons. But I'm not giving up – I want to win next year."

When we spoke to SRK after the event, he sounded happy about the improvement in his health. "I'm much better," he said, adding, "I'll soon leave for the USA to shoot for My Name Is Khan. It's a month-and-a-half long schedule."

A source close to SRK reveals, "He felt dejected when his team wasn't playing well initially. However, he's reconciled to it now but is not going to South Africa for the finals. In fact, he returned after leaving Gauri's brother there to take care of the team." Well, the Badshah knows best!

Is it hard being SRK?
Of course not sweetheart. It's never hard being Shahrukh. But it is a great responsibility being SRK. But honestly I don't  understand this psychological babble about being bigger and better than one's self and raising a bar for the self. I am me and I have always been this way. I just feel I will burn out sooner than most people. In this case, I do believe its better to burn out than to fade away. I realise, without sounding too patronizing or vain, that once you're a star you have to shine. You can't stop, till there is a supernova. Frankly, I don't have a problem with that.

As a star do you always struggle with the need to always please?
There is a fear. Actually there is a mind gap. My whole struggle is to always balance out the real in my mind with all that isn't. It is very easy to get carried awayand to rise above what one is. I don't have that luxury because I am a hardcore family man. I still have the middle-class values instilled in me by my parents in Delhi and I carry that with me even today. My wife, my sister and my kids look at me as a part of them. We are one big organism and no matter what I maybe for the world outside the gates of Mannat, inside I am just another member of the family, equally important and equally less important.

So many of your contemporaries are moving into directing. Is that an area we'll see you going in?
I don't know yet. I think it's a very lonely job. It's very nice, but am I ready to be so lonely so early? Not quite. I like the sound, the noise and the people. I want to do television, endorsements, Knight Riders and movies. I want to do so much and when there is nothing left to do, then I will direct.

It's confirmed. Dulha Mil Gaya would be releasing all over on 18th September. This would give the film a four day extended weekend since the festival of Eid falls on Monday, 21st September. Producer Viveck Vaswani is certainly heaving a sigh of relief as for the first time ever; he goes on record with the exact date of release.

"I had always maintained that it is producer's prerogative to announce the date of his film's release. Over last so many months, there were so many out there announcing the film's arrival on my behalf. It was annoying initially but later it just started amusing me. There were so many different dates floating around even when I had never gone on record to talk about the exact date", says Viveck who is still not resting after the completion of a hectic final schedule of Dulha Mil Gaya.

He goes on to add, "So now let me state on record that 18th September is the day when my film arrives. I can assure that it's going to be one BIG festival movie. Dulha Mil Gaya is about celebration and the release timelines for the movie should further aid that."

After three futuristic, sci-fi and fantasy films including Krrish, Love Story 2050 and Drona, Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan is ready to play the role of a sci-fi superhero in his upcoming film 'RA-1'.

Tech-savvy King Khan has come up with this distinctive title, which means 'the Egyptian sun god'.

It was widely reported by the media that the movie will be produced by SRK's production house Red Chillies Entertainment.

The reports also said that Shahrukh is taking interest in the movie and its screenplay also.

To be directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film is likely to hit theatres near September 2009.

Manikandan, the man behind the camera, said that he will do a detailed research before commeing this venture as he wants to bring out the best for this sci-fi thriller.

There are also reports that SRK-starrer Karan Johar's 'My Name is Khan' has been delayed.

Now, the film will be released during early part of 2010.

With all major fears, SRK has decided not to release his film this December, and this will leave Aamir`s '3 Idiots' and Saif's 'Qurbaan' fight it between themselves.

Shahrukh Khan is at it again. After getting in shape for Farah Khan's "Om Shanti Om," the most popular actor is all set to shape up his body once again for Anubhab Sinha's "RA-1."

According to sources, the movie is a superhero flick with loads of special effects, gizmos, and gadgets very much like the James Bond movies. It will be different from a typical Bollywood movie. On SRK's request, Hollywood writer David Benullo will write the scripts because he needed someone who could do justice to a superhero full of effects script. Benullo has written the screenplay for "Around the World in 80 Days" and the script for "Hallowed Ground," "Cupid," and "Shadow Man," which had won the International Fantasy Film Award in 2006.

Director Anubhab Sinha has confirmed the news, but he refuses to divulge any more information. The movie is scheduled to release early next year.

SRK's loss might be Saif's gain when it comes to the next Dhoom installment. Yash Raj has been trying to get the third version of their successful franchise, on the floors for quite some time now and Adi Chopra has finally settled on the script.


But like most Yash Raj projects, even before the script is ready, they are engrossed in the stylisation and casting of the film. Since it was the baddies, John and Hrithik, who stole the show in the last two flicks, the Chopras wanted to go bigger and better this time. So they could only think of Shah Rukh Khan to play the lead. But SRK, after his shoulder surgery and the regular strain on his back, has decided to not do movies with excessive action scenes. That effectively rules out Dhoom 3 for him.

He has apparently conveyed the news to the banner, adding that he won't be able to give dates till late next year.

Since the Chopras wanted to it to be a quickie project, with a strong hero, who'd have dates at his disposal, they settled on Saif. There has already been a verbal agreement between them.

Don't be surprised if the Chopras head to Kareena's door next, asking her to sign up for the project. After all it's these gimmicks that make the film. Script? What's that?

MUMBAI: Viveck Vaswani can finally heave a sigh of relief. The shooting of his film Dulha Mil Gaya is finally done and over with. Shah Rukh Khan completed the shooting for the film with a song at Mehboob Studios.

Giving details of the shoot was newbie Mohit Chaddha, who said, "We have been shooting at Mehboob Studios since 18 May. Ahmad Khan was choreographing the qawali song, which had over 50 dancers."

The song was picturised on Shah Rukh Khan and Sushmita Sen. All the cast members were present for the shoot. Fardeen Khan, who was shooting in Goa for All The Best, flew down to be part of the final schedule.

Viveck Vaswani, the producer of the film had been waiting for SRK's dates for over a year. With the superstar's packed schedule and then his shoulder injury, the film has been delayed and the debutant director, Mudassar Aziz has been on tenterhooks. But with the pack up today, it will be back to the editing studios for him to release his film at the soonest.

As for Mohit Chaddha, who shot a couple of scenes with Shah Rukh as well as this last song, said, "He is phenomenal. His energy is amazing and his commitment to work is something to see. I would just be on the sets to see him perform even when I was not needed."

After Farah Khans daughter Anya tore her films script starring SRK, the director has sworn to get tech-savvy



Farah Khan had to pay a heavy price for not being computer savvy. Last week, her daughter Anya tore out three scenes from the script of her forthcoming film starring Shah Rukh Khan. All the scenes were crucial and had Shah Rukh in them, naturally. Her daughter is not an avid reader, for she is merely a child still. So it wasnt for offending her sensibilities that the pages from her screenplay-inprogress were ripped apart. These were merely playthings to Anya, an illusion that has cost the director much grief.

The incident in question happened at her flat at Seven Bungalows. Farah had completed writing three scenes on that particular day. She had left the papers on the table and had left the room (writers block) . When she came back, she found that the papers had been torn. Thats when she realised that her daughter Anya who was playing in the room was responsible. Horrified on seeing her writing in shreds, she tried to piece them together, unsuccessfully. Farah will now have to take the trouble to rewrite these scenes. Worse still, handwrite these scenes. Farah, it turns out, is not computer literate . This is the seed of her troubles currently . She swears to change tack.

Confirming the incident , Farah said, I am not well-versed with computers , so I write down my script on paper. However, now I will have to rewrite the scenes again. Fortunately , I remember them. But I will have to learn computers.

We hear that Farahs film with Shah Rukh Khan has a lot of dancing. A source said, The film is about bad dancers who eventually are blessed with a meteoric career rise. When we asked Farah about this, she said, No way. I am not talking about the film this early. Script toh complete ho jaane do.

Mehr will be in charge of the entire club, but the idea of having these four specific designer tables by popular celebrities is to give the club an added advantage.''

The party place is expected to be visited by the biggest names in Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar. And its novelty, in keeping with international club culture, is that four specific tables will be designed by four renowned designers. Arjun, who would not reveal more, added that everybody was working on their corner. Shah Rukh seems to have got a good catch with David Benullo when the latter nodded to be a part of SRKs project. If you still do not know who Mr. Benullo, he is the guy responsible for scripting the screenplay for fantasy flicks like Around the world in 80 days, Shadow Man etc.

The film is titled Ra.1 and it will be be SRKs next production. This project sees director Anubhav Sinha calling in the shots. The film is rumored to have a heavy dose of special effects that have not been so far seen in Bollywood films. Grapevine has it that king Khan was looking for a person who would be apt for the script. And if King Khan decides to do something he does it in style.

As the name suggests Ra.1 is not the kind of film with the usual Bollywood formula and needs to be treated differently. This project might hit theatres early next year.

One thing is for sure, it will be a pic that will last in our minds long after the credits begin rolling and will capture the attention of the young and the old alike.

Karan Johar Planning a grand global release for his next directorial venture 'My Name Is Khan', Karan Johar is at 62nd Cannes Film Festival, negotiating with foreign buyers.

The man knows that the film festival in Cannes can prove to be a big platform for his films. He promoted his Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna there a few years back, and now's he's taken two films, My Name Is Khan and director Rensil D'Silva's Jihad (both Johar's home productions) to Cannes. The festival has a special Market section and Karan will do active promotions to sell the international rights of the two movies to foreign buyers. The director is learnt to be in talks with some of the big foreign distributors and international studios.

Besides being a director, Karan has taken up production seriously. Dharma Productions has given various hits and its movies are well accepted overseas. So tapping a wider market at Cannes makes complete sense. However, this time Karan is also an official invitee to the festival. Directors Prem Soni and Imtiaz Ali have also been invited.

Though 'My Name Is Khan' is only 50 percent complete and Saif-Kareena starrer 'Jihad' is in post production stages, Karan is hopeful that things would surely work out. He has made a mini showreel of 'My Name Is Khan' to show at private meetings with the distributors. The movie has his old friend and favourite Shahrukh Khan along with his lucky charm Kajol .

But apart from watching, marketing his films and sharing ideas, Karan will walk the red carpet with many international film personalities at a gala event for a lifestyle brand.

Not really. That's because she was determined from the start not to let her Bollywood status go to the head. "This isn't the real thing, you know," she said, after making sure BT had got her name ("everybody spells it wrong") right! "I am a more grounded person today. Everyone appreciated my performance in Rab Ne..., but I am striving harder already."

There is much similarity between her and Deepika Padukone. Both girls are far too tall for Bollywood's leading pack of actors (well, the Khans actually, give or take an Akshay, Hrithik, John and Abhishek), and both have ramp model-to-silver screen backgrounds, not to mention debuts opposite SRK. "I don't compete keeping someone else in sight," said Anuskha who is getting ready for her next film (opposite Shahid Kapoor, this time). "I give my best shot and leave the rest to God. I meditate and have a connection to my spiritual side. That has an extremely calming effect on me."


She's doing several endorsements as well, with the catwalk remaining a fascination at the back of her mind always. "I walked the Mumbai Fashion Week ramp thrice including once for Wendell Rodricks's finale. I really love the ramp. I would be happy to sashay down it anyday," revealed Anushka. "People think I'm serious, I know I'm supposed to enjoy and flaunt that go-for-it attitude, but I really am a happy, shiny person. I have complete control of my emotions, thoughts and reality. Adi Chopra said that I have this beautiful aspect in my personality of staying grounded. I've been fiercely protective about it since then."

But there is a fun side, a streak of adventure in the 21-year-old actress all right. She recalled how she dismissed SRK when she first met him on the sets of Rab Ne... The Bollywood Badshah was made up for his role as Surinder Sahney — the 9-to-5 public sector-working husband, with moustache and glasses. "I looked at the simple man sitting on a chair and said, 'Yeh Shah Rukh hai? Mujhe ullu bana rahe ho!' And then he took off his moustache. I was flabbergasted. But not for long. 'This is really Shah Rukh!" I screamed and jumped around. The crew was laughing for hours." As for adventure... "You remember my bike chase scene in the film? Just for that, I learned to ride the bike within a day. Now, if need be, I can go zipping across Mumbai!"

Johannesburg, May 15: If the Kolkata Knight Riders had played the way they had expected to, Shah Rukh Khan would have been here today in the "City of Gold" to be with his men in black and gold.

SRK had planned to return for the Knights' last three matches and stay on till the May 24 final at the Wanderers. But thanks to the way the team has performed, he is not coming.

"Shah Rukh was always supposed to leave at the end of April regardless of how we played in the first four matches," team director Joy Bhattacharjya said. "He had promised to rejoin the team from mid-May, only if they did well. Juhi Chawla was to come with him."

As were many of the celebrity supporters who were at Eden Gardens last year — among them director Farhan Akhtar and musician Vishal Dadlani. "The turn of events is really disappointing," Vishal said. "But I'm sure SRK and KKR will bounce back big time. I have absolute faith in his ability to inspire."

Well, Shah Rukh is in no mood now to come over and inspire the team. And that has thrown the superstar's calendar in disarray, something he said only his two kids could do.

Then again, he calls the Knights his kids, too.

He can't even shoot because director-friend Karan Johar hadn't scheduled filming for My Name is Khan in May because SRK was positive the Knights would make it to the semis and he would be here.

Shah Rukh is trying to make the most of the two free weeks he suddenly has. According to a source close to the actor, he has been religiously undergoing physiotherapy sessions to improve his operated-on left shoulder.

"He is also slated to shoot for a couple of days for Vivek Vaswani's Dulha Mil Gaya," the source said. SRK had injured his shoulder shooting for the film.

However, "the boss" hasn't completely disowned his boys. The famous text messages are still coming, to select members of the Knight Riders.

Shah Rukh Khan's cool Quickgun Murugun act in Om Shanti Omhas inspired Telugu actor Rajendra Prasad to do a film on SRK's  character!

A spoof, the film will be in English.

"The film is targeted at young audiences. We are exploring the possibility of building it into a franchisee brand," said Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios.

In Farah Khan's  blockbuster OSO, Shah Rukh [played a popular actor. One of his roles was a South Indian film, where he fights a fake tiger, and mouths dialogues like superstar Rajnikanth . Though it lasted barely five minutes, people simply loved it. In fact, his 'Yana rascala' became a huge hit.

Cricketer Ajay Jadeja's recent shocking revelations about a racial drift existing in the team has opened doors for further criticism and need for investigation in the team.

In times of crisis owner Shah Rukh too has stopped attending KKR's matches. He has let coach John Buchanan do all the talking for KKR's unending string of defeats at the IPL 2009 instead. However the superstar owner of the team has not stopped writing to his team. In his latest blog he has quoted none other than late American President Franklin Roosevelt.

Joining the Bollywood brigade in Cannes for the film festival that started yesterday is Karan Johar.



"Anything to grab many more eyeballs," says the dapper Bollywood filmmaker who's hoping to negotiate a mega global release for his Shah Rukh Khan starrer My Name Is Khan and the Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor film Jehaad with foreign distributing giants.

Karan will be pitching his own tent at the Market Section of the 62nd Cannes Film Festival between Saturday and next Tuesday to sell the world rights of his films. But, before that, he is slated to make a grand entry by walking the red carpet as one of many hotshot international celebs at the prestigious event for a lifestyle brand. Then only, will he be free to get into the private meetings set up with international studios.

"The Indian presence at Cannes has always been tremendous but now, with the world waking up to Indian cinema, we are only growing further. It's great to see the exchange of ideas at various levels," says Karan, adding, "I hope something will work out. It's very important for me because my films have a global message."

To get his message across, the filmmaker has made a short showreel of My Name Is Khan and kept it solely for private meetings with distributors. "There cannot be a bigger platform than Cannes," he says. Incidentally, the film is only 50 per cent complete. Karan and Shah Rukh go to San Francisco to finish it in July.

Director Farah Khan is miffed with the reports that her next ambitious film Happy New Year starring Shahrukh Khan has been postponed to next year. The fact is that she is determined to start the film this year.

Farah said that she would start Happy New Year this year, come what may. She added that she is working on the script and is very sure that she would begin the film this year even if it's December 31st. She is finding hard to understand how people spread such baseless rumours.

Happy New Year has been in the news since it was announced for the simple reason that Farah's films with Shahrukh, Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om did very well at the box office. It will be her hat trick hit with Shahrukh if it does well.

Then there's Shah Rukh. After bonding man-to-man with son Aryan for years now it seems Shah Rukh Khan is determined to forge an equally strong rapport with his daughter, Suhana.

 Last week, when Shah Rukh visited Karan Johar's mom and Adnan Sami's father in hospital, it was not his wife or son but Suhana who accompanied the star.

Says a source close to SRK, "Suhana has always been closer to her mother (Gauri) while Aryan has been his papa's pet. Shah Rukh wants to change that. He's making a determined effort to spend quality time with Suhana."

 According to close friends,  Shah Rukh has been a boys' boy, a gadgets guy all his life. The delicate dainty girlie things have been beyond Shah Rukh's realm of understanding, let alone appreciation.

Mumbai: There's more father-daughter bonding going on in Bollywood than meets the eye. As soon as Kartik Versus Kartik wraps up, Farhan Akhtar will take time off to be with his eldest daughter.

Says Farhan, "After I complete Kartik, I'm taking time off to be with my elder daughter who has her summer vacations. When her school opens in June, I leave to look for foreign locations for Don 2."

According to his guy pals, SRK would rather cheer for the IPL matches with Dhoni than sit at a fashion show with Gauri.

Says the friend, "Though Shah Rukh makes a very brave effort to be part of Gauri and Suhana's feminine activities and though he has been as much a part of Suhana's schooling as much as Aryan's it's only now that Shah Rukh is trying to make Suhana as much a part his activities."

And now with Shah Rukh, on the verge of completing his only assignment My Name Is Khan he intends to spend a lot of time with both his children.

In this, Shah Rukh seems to be united with Aamir who is currently on holiday with his son and daughter.
According to a close friend, both of Aamir's children Junaid and Ira are very close to the mega-star.

"Though the children stay with Aamir's first wife there's no dearth of empathy with their father. Junaid is bonding big-time with his dad and is already imbibing the rudiments of cinema from his father. Ira is a little shy of Aamir. But Aamir wants to change that."

Like Shah Rukh, Aamir too has taken almost a year off after his last assignment to be with his children.

NEW DELHI: The DVD of Billu, a film by Shah Rukh Khan's home production Red Chilies, has been released by Eros, less than three months after its commercial release.

Costing Rs 299, the DVD has additional features like Making of the film, Making of Songs-Marjaani, Hit Hitand Khudaya Khair. It also contains some scenes which were not shown in the theatrical release.

Produced by Gauri Khan and directed by renowned director Priyadarshan, the film has besides Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan Khan, Lara Dutta, Om Puri and comedian Rajpal Yadav. The film also has Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in special appearances in three item songs. The film's music has been composed by Pritam who has set tunes to the lyrics of Gulzar.

Billu is the story of a simple ordinary man Bilas Rao Pardesi, a barber by profession and lives with his wife Bindiya and two kids in the village. One fine day a superstar enters their life. Changes are witnessed in their life, in terms of the people residing in the village and friends, but Billu does not change.

Just when I was beginning to believe that cock and bull story of SRK-Big B rivalry ending I was told this: Shah Rukh Khan has planned his annual vacation in such a way that he won't be able to attend the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards. And if one notices it has almost become a ritual of sorts every year.

Now the awards ceremony is said to be the bastion of the Bachchans. And that's reason enough for Shah Rukh Khan to avoid it as diplomatically as possible. But when Amitabh Bachchan publicly expressed his desire to invite SRK, everyone's ears perked up!

A little birdie tells me that Big B has also kept his word and sent out an invite to SRK. Needless to say our man has already found a suitable excuse.

Apparently SRK plans to vacation with his family in London for some 10 days. I am also told that he will address a select section of the media there before going to an undisclosed location after that.


And what is so unusual about this? Well SRK, I am given to believe, is free as a jaybird right now (he's to start shooting for My Name is Khan at the end of June). His children too are enjoying their summer break. And while he could have well gone on a break right now, our man has taken special permission to excuse them from school whenever it starts!

Meanwhile Farah Khan – who has won an award for her choreography – has also opted out of the function saying she needs to spend time with her kids!

Seems like this war is far from over...

New Delhi, May 12 (IANS) Even as the general elections head towards a climax, there's another poll unfolding - in cyberspace.

Between Saturday and Monday evening, nearly 29,000 readers of fakeiplplayer.blogspot.com - an Indian Premier League (IPL)-related blog that has spawned a cult following within the country and the Indian diaspora - have cast their vote to decide whether the mystery writer should reveal his identity or not.

The unknown blogger may not have turned out even once for his Kolkata Knight Riders team owned by actor Shah Rukh Khan, his rib-tickling posts have endeared him to thousands of fans, and attracted coverage by prestigious newspapers such as Britain's Telegraph and Independent.

"You rock, dude", is one of the most common refrains among fans, an overwhelming bulk of whom now wants to know who the cricketer-writer is, or if he is a cricketer in the first place, given his "mastery" over the English language.

Interestingly, the poll process has been initiated by the blogger himself, who goes by the moniker FIP (Fake IPL Player) and describes himself as a no-hope bench-warmer in a team that is at the bottom of the IPL heap with three measly points from 10 outings.

The voting follows a May 9 post headlined "It's decision time folks", where FIP wrote: "I had mentioned (in an earlier piece) about my decision to reveal my identity at the end of IPL… Whether FIP's identity should be disclosed or not, or how it should be taken forward, is as much as your decision as mine. I am putting up a poll on the right side. Pls take a few seconds to make your decision."

Alongside the post, FIP put up six categories, against any of which the blog's fans are required to mark their votes:

Yes, stick to your word man (to reveal his identity)

Yes, I'd like to see your a** kicked

No, let it (identity) remain a mystery

No, I fear for your safety

No, I want this to continue

Who cares a f**k?

Till a little before 8 p.m. Monday, nearly 19,000 blog fans or 64 percent of the total "voters" till then had plugged for the faceless writer's identity to be revealed.

Wrote a fan under the pseudonym "Anonymous", echoing thousands of others: "of course! want your identity to be revealed. be a sport man! ppl wl love u all the more!"

There are others who noted his "celeb status", and advised him to hire a consultant to guide his career post-cricket, while another - clearly a die hard groupie - appeals rather plaintively: "If you reveal your identity and get your a** kicked, how can you do this next year?"

The popularity of the posts, most of which have attracted over 500 comments, stem from FIP's wicked wit, tongue-in-cheek sexual innuendoes, juicy details of players' drinking binges or womanising, and outrageous nicknames for fellow cricketers, the support staff, team owners including Shah Rukh, and IPL bosses and commentators.

Wrote he after a particularly humiliating loss that fuelled talks of staff sackings: "While our fielding coach was busy browsing naukri.com, our Throwing Coach accusingly glared at our wicketkeeping coach every time Skipper and Buddhiman Baba (Brendon McCullum and Wriddhiman Saha, both wicketkeepers) had their slip-ups in the outfield."

Then, not contented with taking a dig at these two coaches, FIP went for chief coach John Buchanan, referred to as "Bhookha Naan" in the blog: "I am waiting for the day Bhookha blames global warming for our performance."

Understandably, FIP's team management is livid, but the readers find the blog "awesome". Little wonder that the online edition of Britain's Telegraph newspaper ran a story under the headline "Fake IPL Player lights up Kolkata Knight Riders camp in South Africa".

And light up it has, and promises to do so for at least four more days - when polling ends.
