Even though close friend Mushtaq Sheikh has named SRK's new updated biography 'Shah Rukh Can'. But there is really something SRK cannot do- that is eating food with excess salt.

Here what Mushtaq Sheikh reveals to us, I have realized that there is nothing that Shah Rukh can't (do) and hence the title, Shah Rukh Can! But he goes on to add that there is one thing that even Bollywood's global superstar can't handle and that is too much salt in his food. In fact, Shiekh informs that even if there is a little extra salt, King Khan won't eat it (even if it's his staple / favorite, Chicken Tandoori)!

Well I guess nobody likes his food with excess salt. What about you guys?

King Khan is less 'secured' these days, and we mean it literally. The Bandra police, in whose jurisdiction Shah Rukh's bungalow Mannat falls, has cut down on his security, citing shortage of staff.

Shah Rukh's security was enhanced following reports of gangster Bunty Pandey's extortion threat in December 2007.

Though the police at that time refused to confirm the reports, they immediately deployed additional policemen at Khan's house.

Reports say, Pandey had called up  Shah Rukh to demand ransom, after his film Om Shanti Om was declared a blockbuster in 2007. Advertisements even proclaimed that OSO was the biggest grosser in the history of Hindi cinema, but the earnings were not mentioned. The actor reportedly refused to take the calls.

Pandey then sent his henchmen to Mannat, to threaten him with dire consequences if he did not cough up the money. Shah Rukh immediately informed the police about the threat.

"Prescribed security will always be there. If there is any reduction it must be because of the staff required for the up coming festivals," Deputy Commissioner of police, Niket Kaushik said.

SRK's Present Security
Shah Rukh is now left with security cover from the Local Arms Unit (LAU) of the Mumbai police, who are deployed for VIPs and VVIPs, his personal security guards and what is left of the Bandra police security personnel.

Age is not a factor for Shahrukh Khan, who continues to sign films and work hard despite sections of the industry having written him off throughout his career. Last year, he bagged awards all over with a commendable performance in Chak De India and later had a blockbuster with Om Shanti Om.

This year, he will be playing a supporting character in Billo Barber which stars Irrfan Khan in a lead role opposite Lara Dutta. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and is being produced by SRK as well. But his main project as an actor is Aditya Chopra's third directional venture titled Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Not much is known about the project though there have been various rumours. All we can expect is magic once again, since this director-actor combo has proved fruitful in the past.

Also in the works is Karan Johar's My Name is Khan which co-stars Kajol. The film begins shooting in the USA later this year and Karan has admitted that it is drastically different from all his films. Farah Khan also recently revealed that she wants to start shooting Happy New Year in 2009 with Shahrukh.

The latest film to join the list is Sanotsh Sivan's next. Sivan earlier directed King Khan in Asoka, which didn't work too well at the box office. Santosh says, "Though the film didn't do well it was critically acclaimed for my cinematography. I am excited to work with Shahrukh again. We will start work on after he completes all his other assignments. The film will be full of adventures. I'm planning to take
John Abraham too. We are working on the script." For now, Sivan is looking forward to the release of Tahaan on September 5th and is enjoying the success of his last film titled Before the Rains which did well internationally.

While many forgettable things are being said about the Bachchan's Unforgettable tour, Shah Rukh Khan is doing his bit of taking his world shows – Temptations Reloaded – to another level altogether. With him having already performed in various cities in the US and Europe, the actor we hear has bigger plans.

We are told: "These shows are just teasers of the main show that'll happen next year in 2009. They are sporadic shows and it's not the world tour. Shah Rukh will be taking a few actors next to Frankfurt and the
n to Dubai." Shah Rukh Khan

Besides organizing the shows, Shah Rukh is also busy shooting for Billoo Barber directed by Priyadarshan. The film will release on November 14 and will clash with Karan Johar's Dostana at the box office. Now that'll be an interesting war of sorts.

I went to see Shahrukh Khan in London when he came to unveil his statue at
Madame Tussauds wax museum. I was accompanied by five young women from Shahrukh
Khan's French fan club, Shahrukhfan.fr. We knew that only media people would be
allowed to get into the museum, but despite this, we came from France, hoping to
see Shahrukh, and maybe talk to him.
I am on a wheelchair and it was almost vital for me to tell him that when I see
him dance, my body too dances, that I can dance with his body. I so much wanted
to thank him!
We went to the museum at 7am and we waited for hours in the icy wind of London.
We talked to the bodyguards, they were giants but very nice ones; people were
getting more and more excited and less and less controllable. They had come from
all parts of the world, "only" to catch a glimpse of Shahrukh: France, Japan,
Australia, Trinidad...
Then he came. Suddenly no one remembered me, our small group was scattered,
literally ejected meters away from me, I was sandwiched between Nani, who was
helplessly holding the wheelchair, and the bodyguard, with my head flattened
against him.
I managed to move my head away, and I saw Shahrukh, with his caramel-coloured
skin, his black hair, and beautiful smile. Then, for one second, our eyes met.
How strange. Try to imagine: the overexcited crowd, the hysteria, the
bodyguards, and our eyes met, although he was three meters away from me, with
lots of people between us, and my chair wasn't at all at the level of his eyes.
Then everything became black. The tsunami was dangerously shaking my chair. My
face was flattened against the bodyguard. All that came to my mind was that the
wedge of the armchair was completely driven into the guard's legs, and Nani was
doing her very best to prevent me from falling on the ground. Then the bodyguard
moved, with one hand he was holding the crowd and with the other he made sure
that I could see something. In fact, it's because Shahrukh was kneeling down
that the guard moved.
He was kneeling down for me.
It was like being in a cave with human walls, we were in front of each other,
and I was able to tell him thank you, I could tell him that he made me dance. He
didn't understand. People were screaming and my English wasn't good, I was too
nervous. He asked me, surprised, if I wanted to dance. I said "no, I don't want
to dance, I dance with your body". He smiled, took my face with infinite
tenderness, and kissed me on the forehead.
He didn't smell cigarette, nor perfume, only a nice body odour. His kiss wasn't
wet but not dry either. It was complete. He went away and I didn't see him
again. What more can I tell you? This man gives off strength. When he came near
me I felt this strength, he gives and gives, only with his presence. It wasn't a
star kissing a disabled woman for publicity. I felt the human being, full of
tenderness.
He is able to do a lot of good. I don't understand why Tussauds tried
desperately to discourage us from coming. I hope Shahrukh knows that the reason
why there weren't more people is that Tussauds refused to give information, kept
repeating that we wouldn't see him, laughed at us. The public relations of the
museum strung us along, Tussauds didn't want us to come. I don't know why and I
hope this will reach Shahrukh's ears. If it does: thank you, Shahrukh; seeing
you and seeing you dance has changed my life. Thank you for stopping in front of
me on Tuesday, April 3rd.

Shah Rukh Khan (TOI Photo) More Pics
It's that age-old question that trade pundits have been asking. Who is Bollywood's reel king?

That's a tough question to answer in an industry ruled by the K-men –Aamir, Salman, Saif and Shah Rukh and Akshay Kumar. Although, some industry insiders feel, even at 67, Amitabh Bachchan is still a force to reckon with in BO stakes (especially if you were to look at the number of flicks he's got in hand — God Tussi Great Ho, Zamaanat, Shoe Bite, Aladdin, Talismaan , Exclusion and Shantaram ), the focus has shifted to the younger lot of actors.

SRK with two blockbusters last year ( Chak De! India and Om Shanti Om ) has a slew of interesting projects lined up — Dulha Mil Gaya, Billo Barber, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and My Name Is Khan . Now King Khan has competition from action Kumar Akshay (AK has four hits tucked under his designer belt) whose recent film Singh Is Kinng has grossed Rs 90 crore worldwide and is being touted as the biggest BO hit so far this year.

In the pipeline are five other films ( Kambakth Ishq, Chandni Chowk To China, Blue, Eight by Ten, International Hera Pheri ). B-town's thinking actor Aamir is on a high after Taare Zameen Par Ghajini hair cut is a fashion statement already, reports say the film is slated to be a big money-spinner.

Salman Khan's God Tussi Great Ho might not be a big grosser, but the shirtless superstar's kitty nevertheless has Wanted: Dead and Alive, Heroes, Yuvraaj and Main Aur Mrs. Khanna . All of them potential blockbusters in the making. And the newest K-boy who's the favourite of box-office — Shahid Kapoor's career graph is also soaring, after his recent Kismat Konnection tilted the BO fortune in his favour. His forthcoming films include Paathshala and Milenge Milenge .

So, now, who's ruling the ticket windows this year then? While trade pundits are loath to name a favourite, we asked some to anoint the next king. Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh feels that the Bollywood has four kings — SRK, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan. He feels Salman Khan is already out of the race. "I feel that SRK whose biggest hit Om Shanti Om , Akshay (who's got many hits too), Aamir (with Fanaa, Rang De Basanti and Taare Zameen Par ) and Hrithik (after Dhoom 2, Kkrish and Jodhaa Akbar ) — make all the four box-office kings." For filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, the king of Bollywood would have to be "Aamir Khan. He is successful as a star, actor, director and producer. That's a rare combination. He has outdone everybody." Then there are die-hard believers. Like Actress Meghna Naidu who thinks SRK can be termed the king because "he's magnetic and charismatic, witty, intelligent and an intense actor." Something that fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee doesn't agree with. He says, "I personally like Aamir as an actor because he is fabulous."

A bit of number crunching by numerologist Sanjay Jumani proves that this could be Akshay's year. "Akshay is in his 42nd year, and 42 = 6, Number of Venus, planet of entertainment. Akshay is a number 9 {09/09} in Numerology and 2007= 9, the year when he started to flourish. A Virgo ruled by number 5, he rocked in his 41st year (41=5) last year. Fear Factor — Khatron Ke Khiladi , the show that has become the trump card of new channel, Colors adds to 5, one of his lucky number too! Akshay will remain in his 42nd year till 9th Sept, and his 43rd year begins. 43, though not amongst his lucky (or unlucky) numbers, will be eventful too as 2008 is still on. His name which adds to 28 is the same number we get by adding 2008."

By sheer mathematics Akshay Kumar tops the chart, followed in close tandem by SRK, a hit or a miss might change the sweepstakes completely. However, filmmaker Kunal Kohli feels "Bollywood has spread out so much, top actors have become brand names with their own kingdoms. Let's not worry about who'll rule the BO, but think of making better films instead."
If only the emperors to-be were listening!
and if his

New Delhi, Aug 21 (IANS) Confirming the news that he is making a sequel to 'Don - The Chase Begins', director-turned-actor Farhan Akhtar said he will start shooting the film with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role towards the end of next year.

'I will be working with Shah Rukh Khan for 'Don 2′. We will begin shooting for it in the second half of next year,' said Farhan.

He was in the capital to promote 'Rock On'. He debuts as an actor with the film, which releases Aug 29.

Directed by first-time director Abhishek Kapoor, 'Rock On' also stars Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny, Shahana Goswami, Koel Puri and TV actress Prachi Desai who is playing Farhan's love interest in the musical saga.

'Don-The Chase Begins' was a remake of the 1978 Amitabh Bachchan-starrer action blockbuster 'Don'. While the original starred 70s glamour queen Zeenat Aman as the female lead, Priyanka Chopra played leading lady in the remake.

Although Farhan confirmed Shah Rukh's presence in the film, he didn't speak about casting Priyanka in part two.

Released in 2006, 'Don-The Chase Begins' was labelled as a weak film against the profits and popularity that the original movie directed by Chandra Barot had garnered.

The King of Hindi Cinema (or so he claims) finally broke his silence over the now infamous fight with Salman Khan. Unlike Salman, SRK doesn't say much except that their differences arose due to professional reasons:

"There are some friends who feel that I don't get the time to meet them. I'm very simple. I do two to three films a year and they take up 200 days. I do around 15 endorsements with an average of three days per endorsement which take up another 50 days. I also manage to do about 20-25 live shows — whether it's award shows or the rehearsals which take up about 40 days. Then I spend a few days shooting and promoting my television shows.

I have my own production company, and I spend some time with office work. I take about one-and-a-half months break from work to spend with my children. So I run short of 70 days in a year. I have a lot of friends who I can't give time to.

Salman Khan also got angry because I could not do his film Main Aur Mrs Khanna. It wasn't easy for me to say no, but then Dulha Mil Gaya, which is my friend Vivek Vaswani's, was also stuck because I have not been able to give my dates for my special appearance, which I just managed to film for him recently."

SRK and Karan to cross swords

The hottest buzz doing the rounds in tinsel town is that Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar will soon turn foes, when their films clash with each other at the box-office later this year. Khan's Billoo Barber and Karan's Dostana, may release on the same day, November 14, 2008.

Our source informs that earlier, Shah Rukh had planned to release his film during the Diwali weekend. But for reasons unknown, he has postponed it by over 10 days after the festival gets over, colliding with his director friend's film.

Karan was looking for a good bumper opening for his production, being a solo release on that day. But SRK's announcement to release Billoo on the same day has raised many eyebrows in KJo's camp.

Billoo Barber, which has the same story as Rajinikanth's Kuselan, is based on two friends – one a superstar and the other a barber in a village. It has Shah Rukh and Irrfan Khan in the lead. While Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor romance SRK on screen, Lara DuttaBillo has one item song featuring Kareena and Shah Rukh. The film is being produced under Shah Rukh's banner Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Priyadarshan. plays Irrfan's wife.

Dostana is also based on two friends, played by Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol are also a part of the lead star cast. The film has Shilpa Shetty's item number on Miami's beaches along with John and Abhishek. Dostana is being produced under the Dharma Productions banner and directed by his assistant Tarun Mansukhani.

farhanWhat's Farhan Akhtar making next, after DON? Sure, he produced HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD. and awaits the release of ROCK ON!! [he makes his acting debut with this film], but he hasn't placed himself on the 'Director's Chair' for a while now. But the wait is over!

Farhan begins filming VOICE FROM THE SKY from next month onwards. Is it an English film? "It's not! But it's a film that has tremendous international appeal. There's an audience for this film beyond India," Farhan's partner Ritesh Sidhwani confirms, "It's a period film set in 1905 in Kolkata. It's about a child and the telephone invention. It's a fairytale. In fact, Farhan wanted to make this film immediately after DIL CHAHTA HAI." So far, only Akshaye Khanna has been confirmed for the film.

Meanwhile, Ritesh and Farhan have also made Zoya [Farhan's sister] realize her dreams. Her directorial debut LUCK BY CHANCE is already complete. "Zoya has been working on the script since last five years. It's about the film industry that she has seen since her childhood in the 1970s, till now. It's about a struggling actor [Farhan Akhtar], a superstar [Hrithik Roshan], a Punjabi producer [Rishi Kapoor], a junior artiste [Konkona Sen Sharma]. Plus, a whole lot of stars making special appearances, including Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan," Ritesh divulges.

A sequel to DON is also in the pipeline. "Two people whom we didn't know at all came up with the idea of the sequel. We fell for it instantly. The script is finally complete and we begin filming next year," Ritesh states. Of course, Shah Rukh Khan would head the cast of the film.

Bollywood's ace actor, Shah Rukh Khan made an appearance with an élan at good friend Saifu's birthday party, which was thrown by ladylove Kareena at 'Four Seasons' in Worli Mumbai on Sunday night.

Besides SRK, the grand party also saw the who's who of Bollywood which included- Soha Ali Khan, Sussanne Khan Roshan, Gauri Khan, Farah Aqeel Ali, Imtiaz Ali, Karisma-Sanjay Kapur, Konkona-Ranvir Shorey, Kunal Kohli, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shabina Khan, Arbaaz-Malaika along with Amrita Arora and boyfriend Shakeel Ladak, Atul-Alvira Agnihotri, Dino Morea-Lara Dutta and Karan Johar.

Shahrukh Khan Attends Saif's Birthday Party

While the group supporting SRK (evidently) was spotted at the do, Salman Khan and his family chose to attend a party thrown by Subhash Ghai to celebrate his wife Rehana's birthday at the JW Marriott in Juhu, inspite of a special invitation from Bebo.

According to insiders, while SRK, KJo, Gauri, Sussanne, Farah etc. sat at a clear distance from Salman Khan's khandaan, Bebo and Saif had a tough time looking after the two groups and had to divide their time between both.

Apparently, Arbaaz Khan went to Ghai's party first and dropped in for Saif and Kareena's party much later but Sallu chose to head back home instead.

Guess Bollywood's biggest stars are determined to let the cold war rage on. Grow up

All the four Khans Salman, Aamir, Saif and Shahrukh are close buddies of Rani Mukherjee. She wanted all of them to attend the party thrown for her newly renovated house but circumstances compel her to invite only Shahrukh as among the four Khans, she shares the closest relationship with him. Today, camps have been created among the top four Khans of Bollywood. They hate to face each other's path. To avoid any sort of tension, Rani played a safe game by inviting only her best pal SRK.

The recent spat of Shahrukh and Salman at Katrina's birthday bash raised an alarm for all. To shun any sort of disturbance, Kareena too organized a small birthday party for Saif and invited only close friends and relatives as she did not want to spoil it by calling enemies. Rani recently moved into a spacious new home which has been designed by Suzanne Khan Roshan and Twinkle Khanna in the plush area of Juhu. She had invited many of her industry friends but due to hectic schedules many failed to turn up.

Gauri, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle, Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Anil and Sunita Kapoor and Suzanne Roshan attended the party.

Farah Khan

It will go on the floors in 2009; will (obviously) have Shah Rukh Khan in the lead

Farah Khan just can't seem to get enough of leading a busy life. After directing Om Shanti Om and delivering triplets, she is ready to make her next film, Happy New Year. When she had made Om Shanti Om, the buzz was that she had only changed the film's title from Happy New Year to Om Shanti Om.

But those were just rumours, as Farah is now ready to finally make Happy New Year. The film is likely to go on the floors in 2009 and will be produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Red Chillies recently re-registered the title, Happy New Year.

Farah confirmed and said, "Yes, I am finally going ahead with Happy New Year. We have made some changes in the earlier script. The truth is, I wanted to make Happy New Year before Om Shanti Om, but I wasn't ready with the script then. Om Shanti Om's script fell into place and things started to roll. So we made Om Shanti Om first."

Needless to say, Shah Rukh will play the central character in the film. However, Farah did not reveal any more names for the film's star cast. "I plan to have an interesting cast along with Shah Rukh. But, I still haven't decided how many of the actors will be established and how many will be newcomers," said Farah.

Farah added, "The first half of the script for Happy New Year is ready. Shirish (her husband) has helped me a lot with the film's script."

So what is Happy New Year about? "Oh well, I can't say much about the film at this point of time. But yes, it will be my kind of cinema. I don't want to prove a point to anybody. Happy New Year will be a commercial entertainer," she said.

Farah is currently busy completing the script in her sprawling house at Seven Bungalows, Versova. "I am not going to exotic places to write the story. And while I am busy with the script, I am concentrating on my babies too," Farah laughed and added.

Talking about her routine after she gave birth to triplets - Anya, Diva, Czar- six months ago, Farah says that she has not alienated herself from friends and relatives.

"I catch up with Shah Rukh and Karan (Johar) often. Recently, Shah Rukh was shooting at Yash Raj Studios and I dropped by to visit him with Anya, Diva and Czar in tow. Of course, I had also taken three of my maids, who I have for my kids. It was good fun," said Farah.

Later this week, Farah will choreograph a dance number featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham for Karan Johar's upcoming film, Dostana. She said, "Karan wanted me to do a song in Dostana. Moreover, I had promised Tarun Mansukhani (Dostana's director) that I will choreograph a song in the first film which he will direct."

The shoot will last for five-six days. "In fact, Karan made a very sweet offer to have a huge vanity van for me, with all the facilities, so that I can take my babies along with me. But they'll remain at home. I'll reach the sets by 10.30 am and leave by 6 pm every day," added Farah.

That Priyadarshan's BILLOO BARBER is a remake of the Malayalam super-hit, KADHA PARAYUMBOL, is something that we had told you long back, when the film was on the verge of being announced. And similarly its old news that superstar Rajnikant's KUSELAN (which too is the remake of KADHA PARAYUMBOL) released early this month, to a bumper response at most places.

So are we rehashing old media reports? No, not exactly! The reason that we are going into flashback mode is because there is news that the Shah Rukh Khan-Irrfan Khan starrer, BILLOO BARBER may see a few changes, now that KUSELAN has been liked by the masses. Actually Priyadarshan has been observing the reactions and reports of KUSELAN minutely and may go in for a few changes which might even involve re-shooting. Since the scheduled date for the release of BILLOO BARBER is 24th October, Priyan has enough time on hand to go ahead with the changes, if any.

Meanwhile for those who are not aware, BILLOO BARBER has Irrfan Khan playing the title role and Shah Rukh Khan essaying an extended guest appearance, a role of about 45 minutes with 2-3 item numbers.

Well, hopefully that should be enough to satisfy the countless fans of Bollywood's global superstar when BILLOO BARBER releases on Diwali!

The sleepy small town of Pollachi, 40 kilometres from Coimbatore, has become one of the biggest tourist spots in Tamil Nadu.

Reason: The Baadshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is shooting for his home production Billoo Barber in the picture postcard village, which has now become Kollywood's favourite location. The Priyadarshan-directed film is a remake of Katha Parayumbol, which was recently made as Kuselan in Tamil. The buzz created by Shah Rukh, who plays the role of a superstar in the film, is unbelievable.

It's fan frenzy never seen before in Pollachi, where most of Tamil cinema's village scenes and Koothu songs are regularly picturised. People in fancy cars and mini- buses from Kochi, Trichur, Bangalore and Coimbatore have been coming to catch a glimpse of King Khan. "SRK has been overwhelmed by the kind of reception he has been getting from fans in Pollachi. In Billoo Barber, Irfan Khan is the hero while Shah Rukh makes an appearance only towards the climax and his scenes with Irfan are going to be the highlight of the film," says a visibly excited Priyadarshan.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the entire area of Pollachi. SRK is at the top on the hit lists of terrorists and has been getting death threats. Nearly 100 policemen and a dozen of his personal security men are providing him security. The entire top floor of Sakthi hotel, where he is staying, has been converted into his personal suite, with special state-of-the-art security gadgets being used. Twenty bullet proof vehicles have been flown in from Mumbai for the star and his personal entourage.

And the introduction scene of King Khan in Billoo Barber is equally spectacular. As per the storyline, the superstar he plays in the film comes down to a small village for a shoot and subsequently meets his childhood buddy. To show grandeur and richness, Priyadarshan has flown in one of the most expensive limousines, an oak white Maybach, which only a handful of people in India have as it costs around Rs 5 crore! SRK will be shown moving around in the Maybach, which itself is drawing crowds.

If Bollywood film watchers are having a surge of feel-good hormones due to hearty laughter, it is mostly because of ace director Priyadarshan, the man behind several hilarious Bollywood flicks that appeal to audiences throughout the nation. Priyadarshan is not only a commercial cinema director, he also makes profound films like Kanchipuram, which has been selected for the Toronto Film Festival, where it will be screened in the special presentation section on September 12th. The film follows the life of a silk weaver in Kanchipuram in at a time when silk weavers were treated like bonded labourers. The film is based on real-life incidents, where a few weavers spur a revolution unable to bear the atrocities heaped upon them and this revolution results in the formation of a cooperative society that is functional to this day. Prakashraj plays the protagonist and Shriya Reddy plays his wife. Music is by M.G. Sree Kumar.

Priyadarshan said, It is an analysis of Communism, which emerged in India in the early 1920s. The director added that he has done extensive research for this film to give a graphic representation of what exactly transpired with a little imagination thrown in. After its special premiere at Toronto Film Festival, the film will be released in October.

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan is busy filming Shahrukh Khan's Billoo Barbe, the Hindi version of Kuselans source Katha Parayumbol.

Mumbai, Aug 14: Karan Johar is known for his lavish taste and glitzy, exotic shooting locations, but now the director is eyeing one such location that is sure to beat any fancy setting experimented till date. The young director has his heart set on the White House, the residence of the US President for his next directorial venture My Name is Khan, starring golden couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

Yes, you got that right! Karan Johar surely has a taste that is one of its kind. The director was recently in US doing some location shopping and its being reported that he even applied for a permission to shoot in the White House.

So care to guess why KJo is smitten by the White House?

Apparently, the attraction is not with the White House but offering something novel in his movie. After Snoop Dog singing to the Punjabi beats in Singh Is Kinng and Sylvester Stallone coming in Sajid Nadiadwala flick Kambakht Ishq, Karan is doing what it takes to stand out in the crowd.

Speaking to a news daily, the director said, "I'm currently working on pre-production. The story of my film takes the lead actors from San Francisco to LA and eventually to Washington DC. I am trying to figure out permissions including locations in and around Washington. I still have a lot of time till I achieve these permissions as I only start the shoot of the movie from February next year."

Madhavan cannot boast of being a Khan but the talented actor has been signed on for Karan Johar's film, My Name Is Khan, which stars his favourite actors, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Madhavan plays Shah Rukh's brother in the film, and is naturally delighted to be a part of it.

It's ironic, but when he made his Bollywood debut, Madhavan - especially his acting style and physical resemblence - were compared extensively to SRK. This is the first time that Madhavan will be acting with SRK and it will be interesting to see how similar or not they are on screen. The backdrop of the film is international terrorism, and it's already creating a huge buzz well before shooting of the film begins.

Shah Rukh Khan and Friends live on stage – Tourauftakt in Rotterdams Ahoy Arena am 21.06.2008 Shah Rukh Khan and Friends live on stage - Tour opener in Rotterdam Ahoy Arena on 21.06.2008

It was late afternoon and the large square in front of the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands was almost empty. But this should not last, because a world premiere would take place today, and although no advertisement was made. Not a single poster had "Reloaded Temptation 2008" announced in advance. Integer 4 years had the fans of the King of Bollywood wait for him together with his guests in a new show Temptation on the live stage experience, but thanks to the Internet, it has but a breeze among his supporters in Europe and around the square filled up slowly but inexorably.

Patiently reihte the audience in 6 long queues and waiting that the clock finally 18.30 clock would show, because then the doors of the huge hall and open the inlet start .. Sollte.. If .. und so warteten die Fans… und warteten… und warteten… und warteten. and so the fans waited and waited……… and waited and waited.

During his suggested they chatted on the cast list this evening. Sie spekulierten über die Tanznummern, die von Arjun Rampal, Anusha Dandekar, Ganesh Hedge, Katrina Kaif, der wunderschönen Kareena Kapoor und der eigentlichen Hauptperson, Shah Rukh Khan dargeboten werden würden. They speculated on the dance numbers, by Arjun Rampal, Anusha Dandekar, Ganesh Hedge, Katrina Kaif, the beautiful Kareena Kapoor and the actual main character, Shah Rukh Khan would be presented. Endlich, um 20.15 Uhr wurden die Wartenden eingelassen. Finally, to clock 20.15 were waiting them. The owners of VVIP tickets in the hall had their own tickets again and got Armbändchen created, so that they also later in the VVIP area could return should they leave. Amazingly, the alternates samples were not yet completed, the dancers in garments still populated the stage.

At about 21.00 clock finally had to wait an end. The show started with a performance of the pretty Anusha Dandekar, the Aaj Ki Raat danced. As beeidruckend good dancer, she also the role of Conférenciers, the Stars announced and after their performances interviewed. Kareena and Arjun brought their performances with the audience in the mood, as well as Katrina and Javed, both enthusiastically celebrated.

The hall almost cooked through, as Shah Rukh Khan for the first time entered the stage and Dard-e-disco from his upcoming film Om Shanti Om danced. This performance had a few months ago at an awards ceremony and showed he was absolutely stunning in his outfit. After this point, he came back to present a poem, but it was almost impossible to hear him amid the cheers of the audience shouts.

Show Finale
At the end of the evening to thank all artists
gemeinsam bei Ihren Fans für den phantastischen Tourauftakt together with your fans for the fantastic tour kicks

Ganesh Hedge, the choreographer of the show is also a singer, now had the heaviest Part report: immediately after Shah Khan proceedings. But he did with flying together with Anusha .. It was a pleasure to him, watching the professional dancers and his charm is jungenhaften to act. He was clearly the best dancer in this evening and moved with a grace that it was a pleasure. From Anushka told the audience that he is looking for his first film as an actor has finished, which later this year in the cinemas come.

Then came the part of the show the most herbeigesehnt was: King Khan as he called by his fans, invited some fans on the stage. First he called a young man and a woman, to examine with them the romantic scene for the song "Agar Main Kahoon" Om Shanti Om present. (This and the following number was already at an event in honor of Indian and Pakistani Cricket players listed) Following came a man with the SRK "Main Hoon Don" danced and all had their fun watching. Shah Rukh Khan obviously amused themselves royally in the process with the audience to play as well as gifts and autographs to distribute. Later, he Arjun back onto the stage and the two mounted a car that passes through the rear ranks of the hall was closed. In the best carnival-style accused the two instead of Kamelle, balls and Teddy bears into the audience and brought the hall to the last places to brodeln. Because it got even those whose places far away from the stage, the chance of their favorites up close to see.
You could say that the show now finally Shah Rukh Khan belonged, for a performance with Anusha "Pole Kalandar", followed by the song "Pretty Woman" in which he Katrina as a partner, and finally had to the sounds of "Mitwa" together with Kareena ..

Anusha the audience tried to convince that it is now time for the grand finale, which, of course, everyone tried to ignore. But unfortunately there was no chance and all the stars came together again on stage to Deewangi Deewangi to dance and this wonderful evening took place after 2.5 hours of pure entertainment is far too early end.

Many fans tried at the stage entrance of the hall have a last look at the stars and you can imagine how crazy it zuging than Shah Rukh Khan left the building. The Security had their hands full to do the drängelnden and johlenden fans in the bridle to keep.
Mr. Khan seemed to enjoy this attention and, as in Paris, at the unveiling of his wax figure museum in Grévin, he is winkend in the door frame of the white limousine to better from there to be seen. Very slow his vehicle could leave the premises because many fans blocked the exit. One after leaving the other stars individually the hall, but none of them took so much time waiting for the quantity as Shah Rukh Khan.

The show in Rotterdam was indeed a erinnernswerter evening and all the fans push the thumb that many more shows in all parts of the world will follow.

Maybe someone should be the stars the term "adding" translate and explain. One thing is sure: This word is from the enthusiastic audience called when "Temptation Reloaded" in autumn this year in Germany will make station. It would be nice if this wish would meet then.

After Mannat, his posh house in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan is now believed to have bought himself a plush home in his and wife Gauri's hometown, New Delhi. And that too close to his in-laws' residence.

Shah Rukh has wanted to buy himself a big permanent home in Delhi for a while now. But he couldn't find something that both he and Gauri could agree on. But finally he has found himself an area in Panchsheel Park, which he will develop to his liking. It's also very close to Gauri's parents' home.

Although the details are still sketchy, the source says that it is a recent purchase.

"Gauri always wanted her kids to have a connect with her home town as well," adds the source.

Panchsheel Park is one of the posh areas of South Delhi and the city's elite live there in palatial bungalows.

Shah Rukh grew up in Old Delhi and he still owns his original home that he shared with his mother and sister. It has now been turned into a working women's hostel.

Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) seems to have been struggling to save his reign in Bollywood, as he is under scathing attacks from various quarters of the film industry.  The recent developments in Bollywood clearly indicate that things don't seem to be going the way Shahrukh would have liked.  In the present scenario, circumstances seem to be going all awry for King Khan.  While having different factions is not something new phenomenon in Bollywood, but the anti-SRK campaign seems to have gained momentum of late.

Going by the reports and gossips, it almost feels like SRK is being targeted by the established camps of the industry for some or the other reason or vice-versa.  There are a plethora of events which conclude that SRK is earning ire of the stalwarts challenging his status quo in the entertainment domain.  The long debated rivalry with Amitabh Bachchan has not yet settled down that SRK has found himself in the midst of unwanted controversies.

First, the showdown with Aamir Khan, declaration of Temptation world tour to counter Amitabh's world tour, and then the ugly tiff with Salman Khan at Katrina Kaif's birthday party in front of industry people.  The latest controversy has erupted from comments of Akshay Kumar on who deserves the title of King in Bollywood which also seems to have been targeted towards SRK for the title of King that he owns.

The spat between Salman Khan and SRK has literally divided Bollywood in two camps of supporters rooting for their respective actor which all started at a party on July 16 organised by Salman on his girlfriend Katrina Kaif's birthday at Olive restaurant in Bandra.  The ugly turn of events started when an inebriated Salman Khan started passing sarcastic comments on poor ratings of SRK's show on the television.  An altercation broke out between the two Khans and after heated arguments SRK stormed out of the party.  However, Aamir tried to intervene, but the two Khans were in no mood to make up.

After that spat, the two Khans are at loggerheads with Salman coming out in media declaring that he can't continue being a buddy to someone who doesn't get along well and pretends to be great friends but then is involved in back-biting.  Salman says he can never be friends with SRK again, as they are different in nature.  He further remarked sarcastically that SRK may be a great person, but his values and scruples are not the same as his.

As if this was not enough of a dose for Shahrukh that Akshay ignited the issue of King of Bollywood.  It is a known fact that SRK is nick named as King Khan in Bollywood but Khiladi Kumar's remarks have ignited new debate on the issue of who really deserves to be called the King.  It is believed that Akshay was quite proportionate and calculative in his remark which was directed towards SRK in a polished manner.

This all happened at a recent event held to promote his film Singh Is Kinng, Akshay made a statement which was a direct attack on Shah Rukh aka King Khan's status.  Responding to a question about who is the King of Bollywood, he said that the title is aptly suited to Amitabh Bachchan and nobody else.  He said "The title of King is quite heavy.  If someone asks me who is the King of this industry, I would just say it is Amitabh Bachchan. He has been in the industry for so long."

At a time when the title 'King' is almost synonymous with Shah Rukh, this comment seemed an attack over Shahrukh which was put forth by Ahshay in disdain.  It seems as Akshay has tried to settle scores with SRK on the latter's remarks on him in an award function portraying him as a performer in wedding and birthday parties.  Also, Akki was sort of humiliated in SRK's movie Om Shanti Om wherein he was shown as a bad loser on not winning the trophy which eventually went to Saharukh.

Another Khan of Bollywood, Aamir is also among the ones who somehow tried to pin down SRK in his blog where he said that he was sitting in his room with SRK at his feet.  Though later he clarified that SRK was the name of his dog but whatever he meant was clearly evident in daylight.  Though both Aamir and Shahrukh deny the rumours of any rift between them, but all is not very heartening.

On yet another front, veteran actor, Manoj Kumar also sued SRK in court on offending scenes making a fun of him in his movie Om Shanti Om.  Here also Shahrukh was on the receiving end when the Court issued a direction to delete the objectionable scenes connected to Manoj Kumar before telecasting the film on TV.  The time is not going very smooth for the Baadshah as of now.  It is a matter of time to see how he copes with all such situations and whether he succumbs to those or comes out victorious as he has been doing all these years.
